Instructor-Led Sessions

When led by a Frylands Wood instructor, sessions are carefully structured to help participants build confidence and ability.

Sessions typically include:

• Introduction to equipment and safety procedures
• Coaching on shooting technique and accuracy
• Opportunities to practise and improve skills
• Games and challenges to apply what has been learned

Our instructors ensure sessions are delivered safely and effectively. We ask group leaders to support by helping manage participant behaviour throughout.

Self-Led Sessions

Groups may run their own air rifle sessions if they have appropriately qualified instructors.

Before your visit, you must:

• Provide copies of relevant permits and certificates (as required in the Conditions of Use)
• Read, understand and sign the Conditions of Use document

During the session, it is the responsibility of your group leaders to:

• Ensure the activity is run safely at all times
• Supervise participants and manage behaviour appropriately

A valid NSRA qualification must be presented at the site office before the activity begins.

Safety & Requirements

• Only rifles with a .177 calibre and muzzle energy of 12 ft/lb or less are permitted
• Minimum age: 8 years
• Recommended age: 10+ years

Parental & Adult Declarations

• Group leaders must ensure all young participants have a parental consent form that includes reference to Section 21 of the Firearms Act
• Adults taking part must complete a Section 21 declaration
